There are two different manufacturing processes of mica powder-dry grinding without water and wet grinding with water. the manufacturing steps of dry ground mica powder are as following: mining--selection--crushing--refinement and winnowing--sieving--iron removal-packing.

Dry ground mica powder has the advantages of low cost,large output, heavy loose bulk density.The manufacturing process of wet ground mica powder needs a few more steps (wash the selected material with flowing water,drying,removing impurities). Compared with dry-grinding, it is less efficient, smaller production capacity and higher cost,but with large aspect ratio, high purity and light loose bulk density which make its performance much better than dry ground mica.
