1. Cover the work space with newspaper to protect the surface. Put on a mask, gloves and apron, prepare all the ingredients and mixing bowl.
2. First add titanium dioxide to zinc oxide, the ratio of sericite is 2:1:1:3/4-for example, 4 teaspoons of titanium dioxide, 2 teaspoons of zinc oxide and 1 teaspoon of sericite, rice flour, or silk powder. Titanium oxide will determine the skin tone of your foundation, zinc oxide can increase coverage and is a source of natural SPF, but it can also form a gray caste on the color-so please be careful not to use too much. Sericite mica, rice flour (may be better when absorbing grease) and silk powder add a silky texture to your foundation.

3. Next, (according to the previous example ratio) add 1 teaspoon (or 1/4 ratio) of kaolin. Kaolin is a natural clay with thickening and oil absorption properties.
4. Finally, add a few drops of essential oil of your choice. Since these features are very powerful, please do this very, very carefully! One descent is the best, and can go a long way. Never exceed 5 drops. There are many ways to add various essential oils: Vitamin E is used for moisturizing, tea tree oil can prevent acne or lavender has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. However, not all essential oils are the same, and even natural products can cause allergic reactions, so be sure to research any other essential oils that may be added.
5. Now, this is the beginning of the fun: we will use yellow, brown, black and red natural, strongly colored iron oxides to develop colors. Yellow is used as a baseline-so (according to the previous size example) may start at around 1/4 teaspoon. Brown iron oxide will darken the color-so add a little pinch (this is where the small teaspoons are added). Then, add even smaller pinches of red iron oxide to increase the pink color.
6. Start grinding and mix the ingredients together until a uniform color appears and there are no remaining white streaks.
7. From there, a series of trials and errors will be made, adding small amounts of yellow, brown or black (to darken it), red and titanium dioxide. This is the source of your favorite liquid foundation – putting it on the counter can be used as a guide to guide your DIY makeup in the right direction. In addition, using a mirror when you go out can help you test the color on your skin because you can gradually get warmer and cooler to achieve the perfect match.
